Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows 10 for chrome stable version 51.0.2704.79. Navigated to twitter.com and works fine.

@paulsnorris86: Request you to please update chrome to the latest stable version available and update us with your observations. Also are you seeing the same issue using different browsers for twitter. Request you to please check and confirm.

Thanks.!

@reporter: Does this happen on the latest stable(51.0.2704.106) as well?

Since this particular website seems to fail to load intermittently on a number of other browsers as well for you, it is very unlikely that the problem is with Chrome, but is instead in the operating system, the network card driver, the hardware, the ISP, the firewall, some CDN out there, or maybe something else. I don't think there's much that Chromium developers can do for you. I'm sorry.
