Bad visual corruption in background after login on Chrome OS

Project Member Reported by esprehn@chromium.org, May 31 2016

Issue description

Google Chrome	50.0.2661.104 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Revision	0
Platform	7978.76.0 (Official Build) stable-channel samus
Blink	537.36 (@0)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Wake Chromebook from sleep.
(2) Attempt to login.
(3) Screen freezes briefly and password dots are not shown.
(4) Login happens.
(5) Background looks corrupted.

This state is persistent, if you maximize or minimize windows it doesn't fix itself. I had to change to a new background image and then back to the Elephant to get it to render properly.

I can't reproduce this, but it was pretty bad (screenshot attached). There's also no obvious way to get a trace from the machine during login after sleep.
