Promoted search results sometimes doesn't open in new tab.

Issue description

Chrome Version (from the about:version page): 51.0.2704.63 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Is this the most recent version: probably
OS + version: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 64-bit
Window manager: 
URLs (if relevant):
Behavior in Linux Firefox: ok
Behavior in Windows Chrome (if you have access to it):

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to google.com
(2) type like in attachment "castorama"
(3) click on the first promoted result and try open it in new window

What is the expected result?
Page opens in new tab/window

What happens instead?
Page does not open in new tab/window

Unable to reproduce the issue on windows 7, Linux Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome version 51.0.2704.63.Page opened in new tab without any issues.
Please find the attached screen cast and confirm anything missed here.

Request you please try the issue on new profile without extensions,flags and update the thread if the issue still persists.

One thing is missing in Your attachment, search results witch doesn't work in my case always have advertisement label. I suppose they come from Google AdWords.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Linux 14.04 using chrome version 51.0.2704.84.

Request you please try the issue on latest chrome stable version without any flags,extensions and if the issue still persists please provide us the screen shot or video for better understanding the issue.
