Browsing history not getting cleared completely

Issue description
Chrome Version : 51.0.2704.63 m
URLs (if applicable) : None
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
Safari:
Firefox: OK
IE: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Clear browsing history
(2) Try entering a character v or any other letter in the url, which suggests visited links even after clearing the browsing history.
(3)
What is the expected result?
What happens instead?

possible.

These suggestions are saved bookmarks - Please see the stars in front of the URLs in the dropdown list.

You are typing "v". And "v" is part of the link of the bookmark. You see the bold "v" in the links.
