Regression:Unnecessary white patch is seen on page after pressing 'Backspace'.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: Chrome Version: 53.0.2750.0 Revision c84885e83ecac137b93ed2b6c8b7323d8e91ffe1-refs/heads/master@{#396337}(32/64 bit) OS: Windows(7,8,10), Linux (14.04 LTS) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Launch chrome, navigate to https://plus.google.com/explore (2) Click on 'Share' icon of any image, select 'Copy link' option and press 'Backspace' (3) Observe the white patch on top of the page Unnecessary white patch is seen on page after pressing 'Backspace'. No such white patch should seen on page after pressing 'Backspace'. This is a regression issue, broken in 'M-53', will soon update the other info. Good Build: 53.0.2749.0 Bad Build: 53.0.2750.0

Just to update: Above issue is reproduce with following steps also: 1. Launch chrome, navigate to youtube.com 2. Play any video and click on 'Fullscreen' icon(Press(Esc)to exist fullscreen info bar is appear) 3. After dismissing infobar,Press 'Backspace' and observe.

I'm guessing this was the same issue detected by pkasting and fixed in https://codereview.chromium.org/2016203002/. See Issue 610039 comments #57 to #60. (pkasting: Please file a separate bug if you detect an issue after a CL lands so it doesn't get jumbled up in the original feature request bug.) It's kind of messy so I'll give the full story: 1. I had my CL ready to land (in code review) and working fine. 2. sky landed r395980 which changed Widget::SetOpacity which I was using. 3. I landed r396138 hours later which was broken at the time of landing due to unanticipated interaction with sky's CL. 4. pkasting landed r396590 to fix this. So I expect this would have been broken from r396138 to r396589, and fixed after that. Please verify on a new build. More complexity: I have to merge r396138 into the M52 branch (which branched before all three of these CLs). Because sky's CL has not landed in the M52 branch, I should be able to merge it without pkasting's fix, but I'll need to test this carefully. |
