my hosts file entries are being ignored

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. i edited my hosts file like this..
173.252.89.132 ikman.lk

What is the expected behavior?
i have typed the www.facebook.com's IP
i should be redirected to www.ikman.lk

What went wrong?
Still redirects to www.facebook.com

Did this work before? No

The expected behavior of typing an IP address (like 173.252.89.132) is to connect to that IP address - nothing will be looked up in your hosts file. The observed behavior is expected.

The result of putting that line in your hosts file is to resolve the name ikman.lk to the IP address 173.252.89.132.

Sry.. i did a mistake when commenting. What i did was putting the ikman.lk's ip and facebook.com's host name. So i should be directed to ikman.lk when i requested facebook.com. but still facebook is loading
