Browser gets crashed after clicking on link of chrome://interstitials

Issue description

Chrome Version: 51.0.2704.63 Revision 2989ec7055a268f05554172b2207a34c0c842b8d-refs/branch-heads/2704@{#656}(32/64 bit)
OS: Windows (7, 8, 10), Mac (10.10.5)(10.11.4),Linux (ubuntu 14.04 LTS)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Launch chrome, navigate to chrome://interstitials/
(2) Middle click on any link(link will open in NTP), close that tab and again click on same link.
(3) Observe

Browser gets crashed after clicking on link.
Crash ID da20901a00000000 (b6cfa515-a9b3-450a-96e1-8038171565c7)

Browser should never crash.

This is a non.regression issue, seen from 'M-40' (40.0.2172.0)

Hmm, the stacks look different but I was never able to get the same stack in comment#0 of  issue 611706  either.
