I can't reproduce on 53.0.2763.0. 52 may be broken. @fukino: Did we fix anything around scrolling or popup windows recently?

Sorry, I missed the comment #4. We did not fix anything around. oka@, could you help us check if it reproduces on 52, along with issue 614636 ? They might be related. daisy should be on my desk...

I just updated my Pixel to 52. It sometimes reproduces, sometimes not. I'm using trackpad.

When scrolling stops working, I can't even click anything in the popup.

No errors in JS console.

OK, so the webview's renderer process is still alive. It's just events which do not reach it. Repro steps (not very reliable): 1. Open the "Install new services..." popup window. 2. Confirm that scrolling works. 3. Click multiple times inside. 4. Scolling, and clicking stops working. I also noticed, that sometimes scrolling with mouse doesn't work, but clicking is still possible and scrolling with keyboard too. Sometimes all stop working though.

Nothing special in logs. I'll try M53 again. If it's fixed there, we may have to locate the fix and merge.

Bad news. Broken on 53 too.
,
Jun 22 2016
I'm going to bisect, but it will be tough, as I don't have reliable repro steps.
,
Jun 22 2016
Oh... Sounds tough... Thank you for the investigation!

I think there are two overlapping issue. Not being able to click which fails even on 51, and not being able to scroll which seem to fail from 52 on.
,
Jun 22 2016
Reliable repro for not being able to click: 1. Try to drag any element in the webview. 2. Clicking no longer works.
,
Jun 22 2016
Clicking after dragging broken even in 50, so it was broken for a long while. I'm going to bisect the scrolling issue only.

Blame list 52.0.2739.0 (good) to 52.0.2743.0 (bad): https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/52.0.2739.0..52.0.2743.0?pretty=fuller&n=10000 I'll bisect within this range tomorrow.

Blame CL: "Disable input scaling only when an input came from renderer" https://codereview.chromium.org/1977513002/ @oshima: It seems that your CL breaks scrolling in <webview>. I took a quick look at the CL but I don't see why. Could you take a look?
