Chrome browser does not display HTTP authentication realm

(1) Visit URL protected with HTTP Basic Authentication What is the expected result? Browser generates a dialog including the WWW-Authenticate string from the server, such as 'A username and password are being requested by http://lists.triumf.ca. The site says: "Prove you are not a robot. Enter Username 39272"', or possibly "Enter your Student ID" etc. as set by the website operator. What happens instead? Chrome generates a dialog with no realm information, so the user is unable to login. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

I have implemented a different anti-abuse mechanism within Mailman at lists.triumf.ca, so that URL is no longer valid as a test. https://alastor.daviel.org/ldap/ works, though the cert has expired |
