marbu1022@ - Is this issue is able to reproduce continuously? If yes, Could you please provide repro steps for this issue. Before that please do recheck of this issue by creating a new profile under chrome://settings without any apps or extensions in your browser.

Thanks!

I created a new profile called "person 2" under settings as you suggested.
In gmail, account settings, 2-step verification, and under "set up
alternate 2nd step", chose security, then add security key. I follow the
steps from there, chromium just shuts down abruptly. This happens
repeatedly.

I would also like to add the following message from terminal.

[code]

$ tail /var/log/messages

May 25 12:37:45 shelby /bsd:  port 2 configuration 1 "Yubico Yubikey 4
OTP+U2F+CCID" rev 2.00/4.28 addr 5

OpenBSD appears to recognize the yubikey.

As per comment #2 observed that your chromium version is older one. Could you please upgrade to latest one and recheck for this issue.

Could you please confirm are you seeing the same issue on chrome latest stable M52-52.0.2743.116 as well?

OpenBSD is not a supported Chromium platform. The code that connects to U2F devices like the Yubikey is written to platform-specific APIs and if the OpenBSD port is using the Linux code it may not be functioning correctly.
