[Mac][MaterialDesign] New Keyword Search: The Text is 1pt too far to the left |
|||
Issue descriptionVersion: Chromium Build 395248 OS: Mac OS 10.11.5 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) activate e.g. the YouTube Keyword Search, so that the text "Search YouTube Video Search" appears in the Omnibox (2) type something, so that the dropdown appears (3) compare the "Search YouTube Video Search" text in the Omibox with the Dropdown text What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The "Search YouTube Video Search" in the Omnibox is 1pt too far to the left. It should receive +1pt padding to be aligned with the Dropdown. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. A screenshot is attached. Thanks, Mehmet

Hmm, looks perfect on non-Retina. I need to check on my non-Retina machine.

Looks correct to me on non-Retina. Canary 53.0.2747.0.

Thanks for checking it. Interesting, maybe it depends on the screen resolution. When I search for "S" and compare it again the "S" from the word Search in the Omnibox, I still see the space in latest Canary (please see screenshot).

Hello shrike@, Sorry to bother you in a "WontFix" report, but could you please recheck the spacing of Keyword Search EV again? I thing the best way to check it are the following steps: 1.) open a new tab and activate the keyword search 2.) open a second tab and type "Search" into the Omnibox 3.) now press the CTRL and TAB keys to cycle between both tabs. Result: You will notice, that the Search EV is 1pt too far left. Attached a screencast. Thanks in advance. Mehmet |
