Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2661.102 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/always-on-top-app/oppldakpkfhiglmfehedjgideggjhcle 2. Install the "Always On Top App" Chrome app. 3. Launch the app What is the expected behavior? Google auto login , ad-block , other web requests. What went wrong? Web requests aren't passing through the webview tag. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Removing SiteIsolation, since that's only needed for the work to move <webview> away from BrowserPlugin to OOPIFs. This looks like a more general BrowserPlugin bug, for which Platform>Apps>BrowserTag is the right label.

By design, apps are isolated, so XHRs from app's <webview> aren't visible to extension webRequest API. crbug 510802 has some context, specifically https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=510802#c6 |
