VULNERABILITY DETAILS
Chrome web browser continuously sending and receiving even when user is inactive.
I do not know the content of these communications
and cannot rationalize any reason for them.

Chrome Version: Version 50.0.2661.102 (64-bit)
Operating System: Max OS X 10.10.5

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
Most web pages perform ongoing background communications with the server to update information (so called "AJAX requests"). The browser itself makes various requests to download information to block malicious sites, improve compatibility, etc.

You can view the requests sent from the browser using the Network Panel in the Chrome Developer tools, or by using a proxy tool like Fiddler.
