Issue descriptionHi, I'm writing an web app which requires the device camera. What I'm doing till now works well in my Laptop Chrome version but not in my mobile. It says 'Camera Permission Denied' and apparently there is not way to allow my app (or web site) to use the camera. It looks like a serious bug as the browser even does not ask if I want to allow or denied that. I would like anyone can help me with this. I could not find anything helpful on the web. Thanks in advance Device name: LG G2 D802 Android version: 4.4.2 Kit Kat WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView): Application: Chrome Application version: 50.0.2661.89 URLs (if applicable): Steps to reproduce: (1)Go to the webapp through Chrome web browser (2)Press a button for opening the camera (3) Expected result: Allow camera usage Actual result: Camera is not allowed. Permission Debied

Hi, no. It never asked me if I allow or deny the app to use the camera. It's just not allowed by default (I think same happens with the microphone). There's no way to allow that or put it in exceptions. Notice that it works well on my Laptop. If you want an screen shot, let me know. Regards, Hassan Hammad Lizalda

sorry that is Android Kitkat and webview is not updatable on this device. So practically there is nothing we can do. Does the problem happen on a Android L device or newer one too? I am won't fixing it until I hear back from you.

Hi, no idea if that happens in any other Android version. I just tested in Kit Kat. So, same problem is happening in older versions of Android before L? Regards, Hassan Hammad Lizalda |
