maps.google.com and several apps, including Files and Feedback, sometimes hang shortly after loading |

Issue descriptionVersion: 52.0.2727.0 OS: ChromeOS What steps will reproduce the problem? (0) My device is in a slightly weird state, in which Report an issue never actually shows a dialog (see crbug.com/604885 ) - may be a prerequisite for this hang? (1) Load maps.google.com What is the expected output? Expect that Maps loads and continues to be interactive. What do you see instead? Maps instead hangs shortly after loading. Stops responding to typing into the search box, or responding to window resize events. In one of my two running profiles it then shows a blue bar that animates bigger and smaller, while the tab is otherwise unresponsive. In the other profile I don't get that.

Cannot repro on 52.0.2734.0 link. Can you check again on >= canary? What device are you using?

I'm able to repro the issue on my Panther device; that device is somehow in a weird state in which "Report an issue" never shows a dialog, so I think that may be a pre-requisite for the maps-hang behaviour.

I've also observed hangs with Chrome Remote Desktop, the in-built Files app, and the Feedback app today - once these are broken, though, they can't be launched again without explicitly killing their background process - seems the renderer itself is unresponsive. I've just killed the Feedback app's renderer and it now launches correctly, so I'll file feedback in case that helps diagnose.

maps.google.com hangs when switching tab (open maps.google.com, switch to another tab, then switch back to maps). Google Chrome 52.0.2727.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) Revision 99526c41079e7de62a26a9c2cb9619a78f4df60a-refs/heads/master@{#392210} Platform 8302.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel stumpy I couldn't reproduce this on Samus. I'm not sure if this is due to device difference, or my stumpy was in bad state.

Verified on ChromeOS 8350.31.0, 52.0.2743.41. Maps and Files do not hang. Alt+Shift+i works and opens feedback dialog. |
