Google Scholar not appearing in Edit search engines

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 50.0.2661.94 (Official Build) (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) : https://scholar.google.com/
Other browsers tested: NA

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to https://scholar.google.com/
(2) Right click omnibar, select "Edit search engines..." in the context menu.
(3) Try to find Google Scholar in the "Other search engines" list.

What is the expected result?
Expected to find Google Scholar in the list.

What happens instead?
Google Scholar is not found among the search engines.

Status: Untriaged (was: Unconfirmed)
Able to reproduce this on the latest canary(52.0.2735.0) on Windows-7, Mac OS 10.11.4 and Linux Ubuntu 14.04. This is non regressed behavior seen from older chrome version(30.0.1549.0).

This seems like an issue with scholar.google.com specifically, not Chrome. FWIW, searching for something does cause the search engine to be added.
