Omnibox looks raised on OSX Material theme

Project Member Reported by lgar...@chromium.org, May 12 2016

Issue description

Chrome 52.0.2729.3
OSX 10.11.4

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md is set to "Default"
(2) Open an Incognito window in a window without a custom theme.

What is the expected output?
The omnibox looks raised (assuming lighting from above) – dark border on top, light border on bottom.

What do you see instead?
The omnibox should continue to look lowered. See screenshot.

I assume all the material theming is still a work in progress (I see lots of pixels out of place), but thus one looks especially confusing.

I meant to ask estade@ to triage in the original post; here goes.

(shrike@, are you the one working on this?)

Yes, I'm the TL for Material Design on Chrome Mac.

This is per the design. Issue 585673 is the conversion of the toolbar to MD. I will add the mocks to that bug.

Ah, thanks for those mocks. A little counter-intuitive to me, but understandable. I'll CC you on two other Material bugs.

You can go ahead and assign Mac MD bugs to me.
