multi profile broken on CrOS

Version: 51.0.2704.37 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)
OS: 8172.25.0 (Official Build) beta-channel chell

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) login main account
(2) login secondary account


What is the expected output?

secondary is on a different desktop accessed via Ctrl-Alt-< and Ctrl-Alt->

What do you see instead?

all browser windows for all profiles are on same desktop, and switching profile does nothing.

This was working fine yesterday.

a reboot fixed this issue for me, but it was a bit unnerving.

Right. A dupe with  Issue 602807 .

The fix was reverted a few days ago. I'm trying to reland the fix CL.
