execCommand('insertText') adds text inside a 'strike' element

Reported by abijr....@gmail.com, May 11 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Select <del> and <ins> element in a contentEditable div when they are side by side. e.g: select '<del>deletion</del><ins>insertion</ins>' which rendered would be somewhat: deletioninsertion
2. run document.execCommand('insertText', false, 'sometext')
3. 'sometext' will be added inside a '<strike>' element, e.g.: '<strike>sometext</strike>'

Example at jsbin: http://jsbin.com/latutitugu/1/edit?html,js,output

Also try uncommenting the css in the jsbin for even more random behavior.

What is the expected behavior?
'sometext' inserted without extra markup (or perhaps, a 'del' tag, although, no extra markup is prefered).

What went wrong?
execCommand('insertText') inserted text within a '<strike>' element.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 50.0.2661.94 (Official Build) (64-bit) Channel: stable
OS Version: Fedora 23
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202

Works in firefox. Also, perhaps insertedText being added in a 'del' tag would be somewhat expected.
