SyncChrome spams log with git ouput |
||||
Issue descriptionThe SyncChorme stage includes a huge amount of git span in its log file, making it difficult to identify actual errors (and to a lesser extent increasing load and data consumption). Example: https://uberchromegw.corp.google.com/i/chromeos/builders/x86-alex-chrome-pfq/builds/551/steps/SyncChrome/logs/stdio

Note: a huge amount of the log appears to be associated with the enormous number of git tags we have accrued, e.g. [0:06:09] = [up to date] 46.0.2461.0 -> 46.0.2461.0

This is really hard to fix without hiding the gclient output, so this would pretty much have to be fixed in gclient, or perhaps in git. Repo has the exact same issue.
