Bookmark bar items should slide into their new locations after a drag [Mac]

OS: 10.11

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Drag an item in the bookmark bar to a new location

What is the expected output?
When you release the mouse, the item should slide to its new location in the bookmark bar

What do you see instead?
The item disappears from under the mouse and reappears in its new location

Bookmark item drag and drop works fine for me on the BMB with Chrome Canary 66.0.3330.0 on macOS 10.12.6.
