Ping, these tests guard the most of the graphics path from blink to the screen, and have been off everywhere except linux for quite a while now.

I think Paint and GPU team sort of co-own this benchmark. Call us Graphics team as it were. vmpstr@ and myself have recent background on it. How can we help get this sorted out? I remember at some point finding there was work being done by Speed team around upgrading Android version/config, like some benchmarks were running old (like this one) and others new, and that may have related. aiolos@ was going to work on it but that was a while back. I am happy to be a contact owner for this, who can I pair with on Speed team to discuss?

I'll pick up the bug and talk to others as needed. Rough initial plan is to just re-enable the benchmark on Windows, Mac and Android, so that we can see what happens and file more granular bugs or otherwise investigate further. There are two very old bugs marked archived potentially not actually resolved referenced by jbroman@ on the bug I am duping this against. Marking as dupe of other meta bug. |
