Opening gmail uses 100% CPU

Log in to Chromebook
Open Gmail

CPU spikes to 100%
Reproducible on daisy and minnie.

We have seen a similar issue on the current Beta v51 on pixels / acer c720's.

Has this been resolved in v51? as this is a bug we can not afford to have hit stable.

I think so. Ansar/Sahiti/Roopa can you confirm?
Repro'd  on 8172.47.0, 51.0.2704.79. 

CPU spikes to almost 100% on opening gmail and settles down after few seconds.
Status: WontFix (was: Untriaged)
If it settles down we are OK. THis bugs was about it staying at 100%
