ChromeOS crash when closing background app

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 8172.16.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.29 Safari/537.36
Platform: 8172.16.0 (Official Build) beta-channel auron_yuna

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a windowed app or Settings
2. Chance focus to Chrome browser
3. Right-click on the background app icon on Shelf
4. Select Close 

What is the expected behavior?
Background app closes normally

What went wrong?
Entire browser window crashes

Crashed report ID: no

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? Yes Prior to 51 beta

Chrome version: 51.0.2704.29  Channel: beta
OS Version: 8172.16.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

The problem no longer happens. 

Version 51.0.2704.42 beta (64-bit)
