Autocomplete is flickering when combined with history state update

Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari: OK
    Firefox: OK
         IE: OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Create a form with a text input (e.g. email), make sure that autocomplete is on.
(2) Create an "oninput" handler for the field that writes the field value to the history, i.e. history.replaceState({key: "value"}); 
(3) Type a value that will make autocomplete suggestions to be displayed (e.g. your email) in the input field

What is the expected result?
Autocomplete suggestions are displayed

What happens instead?
Autocomplete suggestions flicker on every typing

possible.

Attached an example file. 
One thing I forgot to mention is that the input listener is throttled using setTimeout (which is important for reproducing the issue). Please note that the important symptom is not the flickering, but rather the fact that the suggestions list is being closed when user finishes typing.

Able to reproduce the issue on windows 7, Linux Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.11.4 using chrome version 50.0.2661.94 and canary 52.0.2728.0.Observed the flickering while typing the letters.
This is non regression issue as the issue seen from M30 builds.Marking it as Untriaged.
