# 608809: Video hw decoding is only broken on Veyron boards and should not affect across all devices

Flash is doing pretty bad things, but I assume they should be confined to its process. So this sounds like a third problem entirely. Needs bisecting Chrome. Maybe it can be done under Linux.

Is the problem also in Linux?
Labels: OS-Linux
Reproducible on Linux Ubuntu 14.04 - 52.0.2721.0

This was working fine on Version 52.0.2719.0 dev (64-bit)

Working on Bisect and will provide it soon

Comment 13 Deleted

Issue reproducible on Windows - 52.0.2721.0 build as well.

Good Build --> 52.0.2720.0
Bad Build --> 52.0.2721.0

This is the only Flash change which is seen in the changelog:

https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/52.0.2720.0..52.0.2721.0?pretty=fuller&n=10000

https://codereview.chromium.org/1920763004

This is working fine on latest canary build 52.0.2723.0 on CrOS [Peppy device], Windows & Linux

Bisect give us
https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/b0958cd3c8cfe1f28e890a5af2b5385ad09f175e..4ee9d76953f16811186942971822cf12d48db7ae

I assume it is this change
https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/ed5a6bb9f4321670482acc32a7cb4246a1e22f25

which was reverted already.
