Issue descriptionDevice name: ASUS Zenpad Android version:LRX21V WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView): Application: 52.0.2723.0 App/ Version : Play books / 3.8.15 URLs (if applicable): PRE CONDITION : 1. Install Android web view from Playstore. 2.Launch Google Play books on the devicein Portriat mode. 3.Tap App menu and tap "Read aloud" 4.while reading the book, Change the orientation to landscape 5.Observe the "Read aloud " in landscape mode. ACTUAL RESULT : 1.App does not remember the state and does not read aloud the book on changing the orientation . ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : 1.Logcat Attached. 2.Video Attached

Not Reproducible on stable 50.0.2661.86 build on the zenpad.

I get exact same behavior on both 52.0.2723.0 and 50.0.2661.86, with the tesla sample book. It definitely does remember the position (up to a whole sentence). But it doesn't immediately start playing after rotaion. I seem to have to refocus the "webview" to do it. Sounds like an improvement that books can do. |
