Please assign this to Customer Support. We may need a public article on how to recover a FrE-trapped, used device.

We can no longer assist with removing FrE from previously enrolled devices. You must contact the customer (in this case the school) that you purchased the device from and ask them to deprovision the device <https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/3523633?hl=en>. The help article linked in the learn more during the FrE flow already lists this information <https://support.google.com/chromebook/go/ownership>.
