What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to https://cdn.rawgit.com/w3c/uievents/gh-pages/tools/key-event-viewer.html
(2) Press the key to the left of Digit1
(3) Observe |code|

What is the expected output?
|code| should be 'Backquote'

What do you see instead?
|code| is 'IntlBackslash'

Similar issue for the key between ShiftLeft and KeyZ.
Keyboard I'm using: http://www.apple.com/ca/shop/product/MB110C/B/apple-keyboard-with-numeric-keypad-french

Seems that Apple wired their keyboard with the keys swapped.

WontFix since we cannot detect if it's an Apple's keyboard on Linux or Windows. Also assume that it's rare to use an Apple's keyboard on PC.
