What happens is that the setting for magnifier is sync-ed, but apparently we are not able to tell the difference between the magnifier feature being turned on by the user (in which case, we do want it to zoom from the get go) vs. the magnifier feature being enabled via sync (in which case, we don't want it to zoom by itself). I discussed this with Yoshiki but he said it would be a bit complex to implement :(

We also don't want to sync the zoom level because what a given user would consider a comfortable level most likely depends on the screen size of the device.
