Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.112 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open Chrome 2. Attempt to right click or bring up a context menu 3. Attempt to do that without using the mouse 4. Attempt to do that without using a Windows Keyboard, nor a mouse What is the expected behavior? Right-click/context menus have loads of options and features. Granted these are almost always available via another means - but they are put here for ease of use. Sited users can mouse to the desired location/item, and bring these options up via a single action. Users with a windows keyboard likewise can press the context-menu button to access these options. However for users who can not use a mouse and do not have a windows keyboard this ease-of-use design feature is inaccessible. Adding a 3 button keyboard shortcut (as to not collide with existing ones) to Chrome, that is independent of any OS or keyboard type would be most appreciated. What went wrong? Shift+F10 is the Windows context-menu keyboard shortcut, however that does not work in non-Microsoft applications. I tried installing and enabling ChromeVOX, then pressing ChromeVOX-key + M. Likewise I cant actuate "Open Context Menu = Search + M" on a non Chrome OS/Keyboard Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 49.0.2623.112 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.3 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0 This issue/oversight stemmed from a conversation with our inclusive technology support staff. I've overcome this deficiency with autohotkeys and a 11 character script. :) Thought and design energy are put into context menus to help users get more out of tools - please make that effort more accessible via this suggestion. |
