Some filetype icons are broken in MD chrome://downloads |
|||
Issue descriptionTry downloading a file with some random extension. One is attached for your convenience. The resulting download item in MD chrome://downloads page has a broken filetype icon. We should probably have a default filetype icon for unknown file types rather than a broken one. In addition, the drag and drop action doesn't work for downloads with broken icons. I suspect that these issues are related, so not filing a separate issue for the D&D behavior for now.

Can you attach a screenshot? I tried to reproduce with the provided file but I am seeing a default icon, see attachment.

Could you inspect the icon URL from the Dev tools? I attached how it looks in my case. Also which platform are you using?

I'm on Linux. The IMG element looks like this (copied from DevTools). <img class="icon" id="file-icon" alt="" src="chrome://fileicon/%2Fusr%2Flocal%2Fgoogle%2Fhome%2Fasanka%2FDownloads%2Fblah%20(1).asdfasdf?scale=1x"> The console says: Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FAILED chrome://fileicon/%2Fusr%2Flocal%2Fgoogle%2Fhome%2Fasanka%2FDownloads%2Fblah%20(1).asdfasdf?scale=1x
