"isolate" is flaky

Project Member Reported by chromium...@appspot.gserviceaccount.com, Apr 29 2016

Issue description

"isolate" is flaky.

This issue was created automatically by the chromium-try-flakes app. Please find the right owner to fix the respective test/step and assign this issue to them. If the step/test is infrastructure-related, please add Infra-Troopers label and change issue status to Untriaged. When done, please remove the issue from Sheriff Bug Queue by removing the Sheriff-Chromium label.

We have detected 3 recent flakes. List of all flakes can be found at https://chromium-try-flakes.appspot.com/all_flake_occurrences?key=ahVzfmNocm9taXVtLXRyeS1mbGFrZXNyEgsSBUZsYWtlIgdpc29sYXRlDA.

Flaky tests should be disabled within 30 minutes unless culprit CL is found and reverted. Please see more details here: https://sites.google.com/a/chromium.org/dev/developers/tree-sheriffs/sheriffing-bug-queues#triaging-auto-filed-flakiness-bugs

maruel@ (or one of the cc'ed folks): can you look at these failures? They seem pretty unlikely (hence, odd).

isolate: lstat /b/build/slave/android/build/src/out/Release/gen/out/Release/icudtl.dat: no such file or directory

maybe a missing dependency?

Still seems flaky and is reported to the Chromium sheriff.
Removing label again.

I think probably there's something wrong in the "mb isolate" step.

"out/Release/gen/out/Release/icudtl.dat" should just be: "out/Release/icudtl.dat"

Also note this bot is still on GYP, but will be switched to GN today / tomorrow, which possibly might make this problem go away?

agrieve@, that sounds lovely to me. Let's not fix it if it's not needed. :)

Issue 647744 has been merged into this issue.

Re-opening because its still flaky on the bots ( issue 647744 ).

stip@, Comment #7 suggests that this should be fixed. Should it be? Feel free to archive again if that makes more sense.
Status: WontFix (was: Assigned)
There are two issues: when there are missing files, the client code hangs.

So there's the actual problem: "no such file or directory". That's likely due a BUILD.gn deps misconfiguration.

and there's a hang in case of user error. While the later is annoying, it'll be fixed only after issue 648352 is resolved; as we're running 6 months old code at that point.
