This work is blocked on a review of downloads page error strings.


Notes from Alan in the email thread:

The format of the error state was designed to accommodate what I presumed to be the most common use cases: Deleted and Canceled. Given that Canceled is coupled with an action, we felt it suitable to place the label near the file name.

I'd be happy to revisit the design if we can consolidate the strings into more concise language.

@Rachel: just go to chrome://downloads on stable :). Canary has some visual modifications to increase contrast in the error state but both are functionally the same.
