chrome://md-settings text nit: "Enable phishing and malware protection" is poorly worded. |

Issue descriptionVersion: 50 OS: All What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Go to chrome://md-settings/advanced (2) Observe the checkbox "Enable phishing and malware protection" "Malware protection" is great, but why would I want to "enable phishing"? :) I think "Protect against phishing and malware" is more appropriate.

@emilyschechter, do you have any advice on this string since it's security-related?

Good point. I'm double checking with the team. My strawman is "Enable protection from phishing and malware"

People are generally OK with it. However, we should make this change across all platforms, every time the string comes up. @dbeam, would you only work on the desktop change? CC nparker

We're getting a UX writer in about a week so per UX let's hold off until they can double check the string. Thanks

We can't find this string. The string that's currently in settings is "Protect you and your device from dangerous sites". If you see otherwise, please reopen. |
