Regression : 'Sign in to Chrome' page gets elongated on giving print. |
|||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version : 52.0.2719.0 (Official Build) OS Version : Ubuntu 14.04 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Launch chrome and open "chrome://chrome-signin/?access_point=0&reason=0" page. (2)Hit ctrl+p or give print from wrench menu and cancel the print preview. (3)Observe the 'Sign in to Chrome' page. What is the expected result? There should be no change in the page after cancelling the print. What happens instead? The page gets elongated and only after clicking on the page it is resized. This is a regression issue broken in M-48.

Reproducible on the latest canary(52.0.2719.0) on Mac OS 10.11.3. Note: Issue is seen on resized window or small screen sized desktop such that Vertical scroll bar is visible on the sign in page.

Cannot reproduce at 48.0.2531.0, but can at ToT. I'm going to manually bisect that huge range to find a proper owner for this.

Re-bisect leads to this CL: Implement newly designed sign-in related histograms for desktop platorms. https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/71bf6c90880518262efc373771eb621617d09c39 Reassigning to gogerald@.

Strange, this CL should not cause this problem since it just adds new histograms. Is it the same for the other full tab page? Anyway, we are planning to replace full tab page FRE, so lower its priority.

Huh. Seems odd that just adding some histograms would affect this somehow. As Ganggui mentioned, we're planning on removing this screen at some point anyways. And this doesn't actually break any functionality, so I don't think it's urgent to fix in the meantime. Closing out for now, since it's low priority and will be fixed by virtue of removing this screen eventually. |
