Can you explain what you mean by "Incorrect MIME type"? Looks like the file got the correct filename.

Hi, for example: I download an apk file, when I click it, it should let me install the app via package installer, but it didn't, it opened via SMS or others, so I can't install the app.

qinmin: Do we have to do anything else to get .apks to open correctly?

I don't know how to reproduce the issue. I clicked the download button on http://m.1mobile.tw/com-qianxun-phone-2032303.html, and the download goes to DownloadManager. And I clicked download button again, the download still handled by Android DownloadManager. I tried clicking the button several times, but I cannot get the download to go through chrome's network stack. We use mimetype to query the PackageManager for the best app to handle a particular downloaded file. So as long as the mime type is correct, it should bring up the package installer.
