graphics corruption with virtualbox guest additions

Project Member Reported by ellyjo...@chromium.org, Apr 26 2016

Issue description

From a user report on IRC:

When configuring a VM like this:
Host OS: CentOS 7.2
Guest OS: Ubuntu 16.04
VM software: VirtualBox 5.0.18
Chromium: 49.0.2623.108

When VirtualBox guest additions are installed, graphical corruption is observed for the entire area of the Chrome window, and even of system UI drawn over the Chrome window.

Tagging this Internals>GPU for triage/investigation.

This issue occurs if the virtualbox guest additions are installed and 3d acceleration is enabled. Disabling 3d acceleration resolves all problems.

VirtualBox 5.0.20
Google Chrome 51.0.2704.84 (64-bit)

Duplicate bug. Virtualbox has had unresolved problems with 3d acceleration for years. (This just hit me with latest Virtualbox 5.1.6 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS guest on windows 10 host.
