Image: onload not triggered

Lately we have had problems with loading images in Chrome (Ubuntu).

For example with this link: https://jsfiddle.net/3rmf4220/
The onload function is not always triggered.

But when we added more event listeners it solved it:

Even though onloadstart and onloadend is never triggered...

We are running Chrome for Ubuntu, Version 50.0.2661.86 (64-bit)

Tested this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome latest stable M50-50.0.2661.86. By opening the provided jsfiddle link, Observed the result saying "Loading Image, Image Loaded".

fredrik@ - Could you please confirm us is this is the expected behavior? If No, please let us know what is the expected one for further assistance.

Hi,

We have been two people observing that "Image Loaded" is triggered maybe
only 10 % of the time.
It usually works the first 2-4 times and then it will not be triggered
anymore. Tell me if there is anything I can provide to help you solve this.
The other link I gave you always works for us, but the onloadstart and
onloadend will never get triggered but onload will.

Thanks for a real fine report. You're running into  https://crbug.com/586183  , which we're trying to get out a fix for in M50. Beta channel releases and newer ought to behave as expected.
