Hmmm... I see a monorail bug: status change from duplicate to assigned -> old Merged issue is displayed on the left pane... weird.  Will file a bug.

I was looking at the other bug: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=606317, and I think the last time I checked, our ImageDecoder cannot decode SVG resources. I am not sure whether this is resolved or not, will have a try later on.

I think that can be solved by wrapping into a decoder the existing SVG container code into some sort of temp object (not connected to the main DOM).  The other bug has additional difficulties related to the fact that document parsing and creating a DOM off the main thread is not currently possible.

This issue has been Available for over a year. If it's no longer important or seems unlikely to be fixed, please consider closing it out. If it is important, please re-triage the issue.
