Unable to close the notification bubble of search box using 'Esc' key on fishbowlie WebGL experiment.

Issue description

Chrome Version: 52.0.2715.0 (Official Build)3fae42f136f929251b627b2ae6300100afc8ab83-refs/heads/master@{#388964} 32/64-bit.
OS: Windows (7, 8, 10), Mac (10.10.5)(10.11.4),Linux (ubuntu 14.04 LTS)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch chrome and go to above URL.
2. Click on search icon in search box to open notification bubble.
3. Now press 'Esc' key from keyboard and observe.

On pressing the 'Esc' key, Notification bubble doesn't get closed.
On pressing the 'Esc' key, Notification bubble should get closed.

This is non regression issue, seen from M-30 series i.e. build # 30.0.1549.0.

Note: This is working fine in "IE-11" and "Firefox- 45.0.2" browsers.

This demo does not use WebGL, but rather 2D canvas.

This is reproducible in Canary on Mac OS X, but if it's been happening since M30, it's not urgent. (It also likely affects only this web site.)
