Select Option padding not working

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.Select Option padding not working.

What is the expected behavior?
I'm Web developer, I'm working marketplace, Now I'm doing one form, so need using padding in select option for dropdown menu, I checked the Firefox browser it's worked, but not working in google chrome browser.

OS Version: 8.1
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

Tested the same on win7 chrome version 50.0.2661.87 and canary using few sites like irctc.co.in and the alignment of drop down are fine.

Also tried with a dropdown example http://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_css_js_dropdown on chrome and firefox - No difference observed

Could you please provide a sample HTML file to test the issue from test team end.
