Audio-video out of sync using MSE

Reported by aletorr...@gmail.com, Apr 22 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.87 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Encode a live stream with FFMPEG using DASH muxer (>=v2.8).
2. While transcoding (it seems to happen only when it's a live stream, which may change some media information).
3. Playback for a while.

What is the expected behavior?
Audio-video in sync.

What went wrong?
Audio and video get out of sync slowly after several minutes of playback. Playback on Mozilla Firefox is OK. I'm using Google Shaka (several versions), but using Dash.js produces the same result. I've also tested different FFMPEG configurations, and all seem to behave equally.

Did this work before? No

Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? HTML5

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 49.0.2623.87 Channel: n/a
OS Version:
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

I think the most important detail is that this happens ONLY with live streaming (MPEG DASH dynamic mode).
I just noticed the same issue with a non-live streaming, so forget about that previous comment.
Update: I added audio and video fulfill parameters to ffmpeg (-async 1 -vsync 1), and now Chrome is playing it OK. It seems that Chrome doesn't handle well missing frames.
