Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.19 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open Settings/Show Advanced/Google Cloud Print 2. Cllick "Add Printers" / select printer checkboxes / click "Add Printer(s)" - says "registering" 3. Go to https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers - printers do not appear. What is the expected behavior? Printers available on cloud for printing. I have opened all the ports i think i need (and more?) # Service Name External Start Port External End Port Internal Start Port Internal End Port Internal IP address 1 Google Cloud Print 5222 5222 5222 5222 192.168.0.5 2 HTTP 80 80 80 80 192.168.0.5 3 HTTPS 443 443 443 443 192.168.0.5 What went wrong? I don't know - I have not set up Google Cloud Print before. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 51.0.2704.19 Channel: dev OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0 Instructions for setup of firewall is really minimal -- why don't you support UPnP for firewall setup so it doesn't have to be done manually?

I tried closing the port forwarding on ports 80 and 443, and it still works (as i suspected), so those were not needed.

Verified the issue by following the steps provided on Chrome Dev# 51.0.2704.19 and could not reproduce the issue. Able to see the printers after successful login. @adostrom -- Could you please let me know if i have missed out anything. Thanks in Advance.

Did you try the 64 bit version like I was running? I can try reinstalling the Dev channel and see if the problem comes back.

OK, here's the deal... I reinstalled Version 51.0.2704.19 (64-bit) and it worked fine with the printers i had installed with the stable channel. As soon as I disconnected that printer I could not REGISTER any new CLASSIC printers. Since I don't have a cloud ready printer I don't know if that works or not. Next, I installed Version 50.0.2661.87 m (64-bit) and it works fine for registering the classic printer and all manaegement of printers. So - something was broken between build 2661 and build 2704. I assume that if I install the Dev channel my connected printer will continue to work fine as long as i don't disconnect it. I hope this helps you narrow down the issue.

I didn't get a chance to try the version you wanted -- when I went to install the dev channel tonight I got version 52.0.2716.0 dev-m (64-bit). That version works correctly. Thanks.

Great. Based on the symptoms, this sounds like bug 604106 . As for firewall rules and UPNP, there's bug 109657 but I have no idea if that's going anywhere. |
