Video size change on MediaDocument |
||||||
Issue descriptionWhen playing the Azure video on http://146.148.91.8/medialinks/medialinks.html, video size can automatically change during playback. And developers cannot provide css to the MediaDocument to fix the element size, which makes the behavior feels very strange. Maybe there is something we can do to improve the user experience. Safari has the same behavior. Desktop chrome doesn't play HLS, so it doesn't suffer from this issue.

Maybe we can ignore HTMLMediaElement::sizeChanged() when it's a video document, or make the size to fit the screen? But what if a video starts with aspect ratio smaller than the screen, and then the size changes making the aspect ratio greater than the screen?

I wasn't able to reproduce this.

I'm going to call this as WontFix as the only way to fix this would be to reduce the experience in cases other than HLS. |
