Chrome resets to default browser

Chrome Version       : Version 50.0.2661.75 m

Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari:
    Firefox:
         IE:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Chose IE as default browser and access for Chrome
(2) Chose IE as 'make default' in IE settings
(3) IE is not a choice in 'set default programs'

What is the expected result?
 IE to be used as default browser.


What happens instead?
Chrome is the default browser


Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
There is nowhere in Chrome settings that allow me to choose whether I want to use Chrome as default browser, or to unselect it as default browser, Same holds true for Vivaldi.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows 7 using chrome stable M50-50.0.2661.87.

densmanp@ - There will be no option available to disable chrome from default browser. If you want to mark IE as default browser please follow the below path to change it.
Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Default Programs

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
Closing the above issue as Wontfix due to lack of user response. Also, the above issue is not reproducible windows with chrome version '51.0.2704.84'.

However, feel free to report a new issue if encountered with any other issue again with newer version of chrome.
