Unable to search & find multiple lines of text with line breaks in Chrome on Linux machines |

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to any site/page in chrome that has multiple lines of text including line breaks
2. Copy and paste all texts with line breaks
3. Do Ctrl F and paste that text into the search & find bar
4. Hit enter to find text
What is the expected result?
The searched text is highlighted.
What happens instead of that?
The searched text is not found

When doing search and find (Ctrl F) in Chrome on Linux machines, text inputted into search and find that contain line breaks is unable to be found. This has happened on linux machines & Chromebooks, Checked my mac and it works fine in Chrome but not in Fire Fox.

If I use chrome browser on my MAC laptop, it works. Shouldn't it be consistent?

And It worked a couple month ago on my Linux machine. It is only recently it stopped working.
