The footnotes look like this: <a class="footnote-link" data-expandable="entry-footnotes" data-footnote-id="1" href="#fn-1"><sup id="ss-1">1</sup></a> The <sup> elements have a margin-top of -70px, which is in the site's CSS, for some reason. This results in the bounding box of the <sup> element to be the text height plus 70px. Firefox does not have the same selection issue as Chrome. It appears that Firefox does not include margin in the selection rect. Probably we should not either.
