Typing into the address bar of a new tab hangs the browser, but it recovers after roughly 2 seconds

Issue description
Chrome Version : 50.0.2661.75 (Official Build) m (32-bit)

Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
Safari:
Firefox:
IE: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open a new tab
(2) Begin typing into the address bar
What is the expected result?
The text should appear as you type.
What happens instead?
The text does not appear. The browser hangs (if you click anywhere, it will show the "not responding" classic Windows message for the application. After two seconds or so, it recovers and shows the text you typed.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

OS is Windows 10 since that's not clear from the settings I pasted.

Unable to repro this issue on Windows 10 [Pro] for Google Chrome Stable Version - 50.0.2661.75 Screen-recording is attached. @kurifodo: Could you please re-test the same on a clean profile [chrome://settings -> Add Person] and let us know your observations, which would help us in triaging it further.
