Issue descriptionChrome Version : 49.0.2623.112 OS Version: 7834.70.0 URLs (if applicable) : Other browsers tested: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open the task manager 2. Click to sort by "Javascript memory" What is the expected result? The list is sorted by how much Javascript memory a task is using. What happens instead of that? The whole ChromeOS restarts every time. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Can you try again in M50? I'm unable to reproduce in recent builds. If it crashes again please take a look at chrome://crashes and share any crash IDs here.

This was fixed recently in issue 598078.

No it was not. I can reproduce the crash repeatedly on 50.0.2661.104 . These restarts do not show up in chrome://crashes. Proof: https://drive.google.com/a/google.com/file/d/0B9mnuaK2s1jnM2ZLSjBXd2ZQNVE/view I am happy to provide any additional debugging info, please let me know what you need.

The fix landed on Apr 7: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/4833c058d9a11c235aa5299bfdd51948068ad099 It's in M51, not M50.

I switched to Beta channel and this no longer happens on 51.0.2704.42 beta. Thanks for confirming. |
